Cellphones: Rutherford Junior High School does not allow students to have cellphones at school. Students who bring their cellphones to school are required to hand their phones in at the start of the school day and pick them up at the end. They are not allowed to use their phones during the day. If a student is observed with a phone, they will be asked to take it to the office for a parent to collect it.

Lunches: As part of the Ka Ora Ka Ako Healthy Schools Lunch programme, we have lunches supplied free from Whanganui Girls College and Pita Pit everyday for our students.

Chromebooks: Our students live in a developing digital world where they must continue building digital fluency skills, general literacy and Aotearoa citizenship. All students are required to have an up-to-date Chromebook to engage in our digital learning programmes. At Rutherford, you can order the following Chromebook bundle for your child below.
